Háttér Support Society

Háttér Support Society for LGBT People in Hungary („Háttér”) was founded in 1995 with the aim of protecting the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and reducing the fear and ignorance about homosexuality through better integration of LGBT people to the society at large. Over the years Háttér has also become the leading voice for LGBT people in Hungary: it is the most active among the Hungarian LGBT organizations to lobby the state and advocate for the equality of LGBT people, and it offers services not only for LGBT people, but also to other LGBT organizations as well.
