Kaos GL

Based in Ankara, Turkey, Kaos GL’s aim is to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) individuals in embracing libertarian values, realising their own existence, and in cultivating themselves in order to contribute to the development of social peace and welfare. Kaos GL launched the Kaos GL magazine in 1994, which is still published today and is the longest running LGBTI publication in Turkey. Kaos GL’s other main areas of activity include the annual International Meeting Against Homophobia, monitoring discrimination in the workplace, education, health, housing, reporting hate crimes/speeches, legal support, local correspondents network and news site. Archive contains periodicals only.

SKUC-LL

SKUC-LL is an autonomous, non-profitable NGO based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, dealing with social, political and cultural aspects of lesbian women and LGBT. It was established in 1987 within the Students’ Cultural Centre SKUC as the first lesbian group in Eastern Europe. SKUC-LL is trying to fight against homophobia, discrimination and invisibility of LGBTI cultures and communities, and works in culturally and politically engaged projects. It aims to break the massive walls of civic apathy, political ignorance, ideological terror and mind exploitation.

Háttér Support Society

Háttér Support Society for LGBT People in Hungary („Háttér”) was founded in 1995 with the aim of protecting the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and reducing the fear and ignorance about homosexuality through better integration of LGBT people to the society at large. Over the years Háttér has also become the leading voice for LGBT people in Hungary: it is the most active among the Hungarian LGBT organizations to lobby the state and advocate for the equality of LGBT people, and it offers services not only for LGBT people, but also to other LGBT organizations as well.
